Immunophenotyping Laboratory
Short description:
The immunophenotyping lab is designed to help diagnose and classify leukemias or lymphomas to direct treatment and to detect and evaluate residual tumor leukocytes after treatment or recurrence of the disease. Biological samples (peripheral venous blood, tissue biopsies, biological fluids) are analyzed using different antibody blocks, standardized for specific types of haematological pathologies. The immunophenotyping will be accompanied by the determination of the hemoleogram and the plaqueogram, on the basis of which the selection of the antigens targeted by the flow cytometric analysis will be carried out.
Main activities / techniques:
- sample preparation, and cell labeling with monoclonal antibodies coupled with fluorochromes
- identification and quantification of cell populations based on the unique repertoire of cell markers
- performing tests for apoptosis, cell cycle, cell proliferation, and cytokine detection
- determining the leukocyte formula
