Project summary
The Romania-Hungary cross-border project with an emphasis on infertility diagnosis, pregnancy health and newborn care, eMS code ROHU-339, contract no. 90312/27.07.2021 is a cross-border project financed by The Program Interreg VA Romania – Hungary, Priority PA4 – Improving health care services (Cooperation in the field of health care and prevention), Specific Objective SO9/a – Enhanced preventive and curative health care services in the eligible region.
The project has a duration of 30 months, from 01.05.2021 to 31.10.2023, with a total eligible value of 2,492,080.65 euro, from which:
- 2,118,268.55 of euros – the European Regional Development Fund,
- EUR 351,714.65 – co-financing from state budgets,
- EUR 22,097.49 – the beneficiaries' own contribution.
The overall objective
The overall objective of this joint project is to improve health care services regarding screening, diagnosis and prevention in the fields of microbiology and genetics with emphasis on infertility, increasing maternal age at birth, pre-conception, prenatal and postnatal diagnosis in the cross-border area, through a strategic approach, through investments in the diagnostic infrastructure, including the reconstruction of some laboratories, the modernization of medical equipment and the implementation of new methods, as well as through exchanges of experience, knowledge transfer and know-how between partners, for the benefit of patients and to reduce health inequities.
