Proteomics and Microarray Laboratory

Short presentation:
The lab is designed for advanced research in the field of gene identification, protein validation, detection of molecular markers specific for various cell types, and oncogenes. The facility is equipped with specific devices able to perform the entire spectrum of proteomics and microarray analyses, from nucleic acids automated extraction to reading low or medium density microarrays, both commercial or home-made: oligo arrays, BAC arrays, protein arrays, special slides. It helps identification of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and mutations, classification of tumors, identification of target genes of tumor suppressors, identification of cancer biomarkers, and identification of genes associated with chemoresistance, and drug discovery.
