Cell Culture Laboratory

Short presentation:
The labs are fully endowed with all the necessary equipment required for in vitro cell growth and for the performance of a wide array of experiments. The personnel working in the cell culture facilities is highly trained with more than ten years of experience in the field of cellular biology, cell line growing and generation, cell culture toxicology assay development, etc. All types of cells can be grown, including primary cells, mesenchymal and hematopoietic stem cells, as well as pluripotent stem cells.

Main activities/techniques:

  • primary cells culture (hematopoietic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial cells, dendritic cells, etc.)
  • in vitro differentiation of stem cells to various cell lineages
  • isolation and characterisation of tumour stem cells
  • culture of embryonic stem cells
  • cell lines (normal and tumour cells) expansion and analysis
